The family arrived at 4 pm yesterday but were in good spirits and all looked so nice. The girls seemed to feel at home right away – unpacked and organized their things! We ate supper, walked around the block, and they all fell into bed – are still asleep (11 am). Wish you were here ,too.

This is a lovely little village – the cobblestones are hard to walk on, tho. It is sunny but cool and comfortable.

Had tacos and enchiladas at Alicia’s Sat night – delicious!

How was your Wis trip? Jean called and said you looked so nice and she enjoyed seeing you. We will be at the Kasteel in another hour.

We had a nice two days in Groningen and environs. Did the city walking tour yesterday and it was interesting but about ruined us. Nice weather – summer has finally arrived!!

Congratulations on your sale! We are delighted now you have to really create more nice ones. They say it ain’t always easy.. Have to make our lists – ugh.

I do hope you had a nice birthday. Alicia and I went to an old church to listen to a carillon concert, but one had to stand around outside – no benches or place to sit and it was very cold and windy – so we went shopping instead (stores are open on Thurs eves downtown). Raining this morning as usual.

Love to you, Dede

Hi

This is one of the many mosaics beautifully preserved in Jordan. Twas good visiting with you last week, hope the snow is abating. Yesterday the 2 Alicias and I went up north of Amsterdam to the Frisian Floral Fair and it was just fantastic. This whole building filled with flowers — mostly bulbs (tulips, crocus, daffodils) in every color of the rainbow (even black tulips!). We bought some sprouted bulbs to plant in pots inside which should bloom in 6 wks — we hope! Bill is due on Tuesday, we go to the St Martins in the Field concert in Amsterdam that nite. It is still hold here.
