Charles Cameron was an architect and interior designer from Scotland, who went to Russia in 1779, summoned by Catherine the Great. He was one of the Empress’s favorite designers, and worked at Tsarskoe Selo for over fifteen years.

In 1932, Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada was joined with Glacier National Park in the United States as the world’s first International Peace Park. In 1995, the Park was designated a World Heritage Site by the United Nations.
