A cozy group of classic lawn chairs overlook the croquet lawn and beautiful Red Cedar Lake at Stout Island Lodge. Frank Stout, A Chicago lumber baron, built his family’s island retreat at a cost of 1.5 million dollars in 1903 patterned after the “Great Camps of the Adirondacks” and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
