Dear Friends

It is hard to believe I’m in Italy – we flew over to be with Gay on her 2 weeks vacation after working at the US Embassy for a month – Rome is a fabulous city with its ruins, museums, parks, fountains, pines, etc. We drove to Florence yesterday and it is a most interesting historical city also. We are going to Venice before flying back to Washington together.

Dear

Just visited friends in the Redwoods! Now we are vising my brother and wife before going back up to Bodega Bay for my 80th birthday party with my twin brother!

Lowell is ecstatic to be ‘out of prison’ after 6 months of NO TRAVEL while fighting the stubborn virus. We hope to see more friends tomorrow.

Any chance of your stopping over with us on one of your north-south trips? We’ll be home mostly this spring.

Hi

We made it OK – I am awfully tired, but must begin adjusting soon. Maybe I’ll get caught up with my correspondence. Don’t forget your typewriter in our apt.

Alex met us – they are going to Germany and Italy for this week. He was having back trouble. They needed to gt away!!

I’m missing you.

Hello and Howdy!

I got this postcard whilst slumming the other day in San Antonio. Let’s go to Mexico this summer. I’m not going to be working except hopefully playing in a band this summer and I got the Mexico itch (oh no!). Lez go! Hey – we can take my car this time… How about an expense -paid musician too?

We really enjoyed this museum today. We thought this plane might look familiar, ye? It is hot and humid here.
