Washington DC

November 1981

We were out to a dinner party last night until late so I am still in bed. An old friend said she would call me this morning so I must stay here – tho it is a beautiful day and I should be out sight-seeing – maybe this aft. Tonight we’re going out to dinner with old friends from Mexico and Bogota days. Washington is such a beautiful city – both by day and night. I hope to visit the National Cathedral, remember it?

How’s everything going? Well, I hope. Lots of changes here. I got a new job. Mike left to go to Central Office, and Shirley’s division is bing completely changed.

I had a nice flight to Washington yesterday. It was smooth and fast. Today I visited some art museums and the capital. It’s very hot so I’ve been taking my time seeing things. Tonight we’re going out for Ethiopian food. It should be interesting.
