Hi

I’m back in Kenya en-route Lagos after a week in Tanzania. Managed to see lots of elephants and other wild animals while still getting my work done.

T & J got here about 4 hours late but happy and not too tired. We are gradually hearing about their trip to Europe, their life in Australia.

You can see Bill’s office at the top right of the photo.

Hope you are well, Love, Dede

Hi

Another beautiful day!! I’m now even buying a weekly rag from England (like Inquirer) and get all the dirt from around the world! Bill is diligently working – loves his “notebook” computer. Produces pages and pages of written word on it daily. Saw olympics on French TV – loved Mrs Miterand’s bright coat. Not much news from Moscow.

We’re now leaving on the 29th (a day early) on BA to London – then over to Den Haag.

This is the real Nefertiti – and she is lovely. We saw so many ancient things today – things we had studied in your ancient history at Greengates. We are in a FF apt. right on the Nile. Your letter was here – thanks – and today we got a cable from Tim. Will go to Pyramids manana and to Karachi in aft.

Dear

Arrived here ok and it is hotter than I expected – 95 degrees yesterday when we landed but dry heat.

The persons to whom Susan had written are anxious to see us and we already have lots of meetings line up. However offices are only open from 7 – 1 pm. so we will have free time for resting in pm.

Hi

We are at the Sheraton Airport Hotel and have just checked out for our flight to Nairobi with direct connection (we hope) to Lilongue (Malawi). Our flight out of Minneapolis was cancelled on Tuesday so we just got here this am. We are rested and all is well.

Hi

we got back ok without problems. Kees met us with 2 boquets of flowers – in his big snowboots! It is col, snowy and foggy… sot of whitish everywhere. They are skating on our canal beneath our bedroom window and have plans for the 400 km race on the canals of Friesland this eek if ti stays cold. It is not as low templ as Minn. but seems chillier beacuse of the dampness, I guess.
