I had a good trip to the East and this weekend will travel to the South Central region. Weather is very nice!
Saw lots of camels on the trip east. After the 1st of Nov. we will be in Addis for the balance of our time here.

It is not sposed to get over 8C today here with maybe some snow! There was heavy frost and some snow on the mts. in the Banff area. Winter is coming early. We had a great Chinese dinner last night.

I’ve just come from the top of the Mt. where Moses was buried and saw the Dead Sea from there. I’ve got to read my bible when I get home!! Such a nice young college prof. has been “sightseeing” me and I’ve learned much from her. It is a lovely little city with an almost perfect climate (tho a bit chilly this morn.) built on hills with terrific views. I go home on Sun., Bill to Africa.

Taking a weeks break up in the north country. Had to bring Jen across to Canada to make her feel at home. Beautiful weather and not many people making it nice. Thinking about renting a canoe.

Sorry for not phoning you while in U.S. We only stayed a few days. We had an around the world trip to Japan and Asia, was great. However, everything goes down the closer you get to India. Will return to the funny farm tomorrow – perhaps I don’t have a job – been gone for 3 months. I guess our father will depart soon – big changes. Don’t know what to expect. Write when you have time.

Arrived OK yesterday morning. Found my visa had expired even though there was not expiry date indicated on it. However, got a new visa here.
Weather cool – 40 to 50 – dry and nice. I get the BBC news very well so will keep up on World news. All the team members are here and we start work today.

We are on the gulf of St. Lawrence now and it is windy an a bit rough. Walking the decks is fun! Spent the morning in St Pierre. Very typical little French town with lace curtains and garden plots. They even use francs. The boat crew is Ukranian and my Russian is lacking.
