Lower Green River Lake

This view, where the road end and the trail begins, is far remote from man’s creative ability. L to R are White Rock, Square Top and Porcupine Mountain. Square Top rises 3,713 feet above this celestial body of water. Seven active glaciers and eleven “Grand Canyons” make up its never-failing water source. Its longest tributary begins at 13,785 feet.

Taughannock Falls, the Finger Lakes

The Falls of Taughannock in the valley of Cayuga is the highest perpendicular falls in New York State. The Indians termed it Taghanic or “The Great Falls in the Woods”. It is located in Taughannock Falls State Park, Ithaca, NY.
