Slovakia

March 1993

Great news that you’re coming to this part of the world! We’ll definitely make plans (since mine are so loose).

Italy was fabulous – Florence, Bologna, Venice, Art, Wine, churches, wine, pizza and wine! I want to go back, a week was too short. Some of my art history came back but I was overwhelmed by the beauty and site of the churches. Great too to stand in front of a Botticelli!!

I’m loving Slovakia – time is flying. Off to Poland for Easter, should be vey interesting!

We are in Genoa waiting for the train to take us on our way to St Raphael, France. This is such an interesting city – walked down to the docks yesterday aft. and saw the huge ships coming and going. Just great! Everybody seems to be getting along fine – so far!! Steve even told Va. he was glad he had come!!!! We hated to leave Switzerland – it is so beautiful.. but every new thing we see is great!! Food is good. The kids have lived on spaghetti!! They love it!

Lago Maggiore, 1976

This is where Pa has finally returned to! This is all we see from the windows of the house – quite unbelievable! The water is a little cold for me but the weather is good. Warmest greetings to you.

Florence, Italy

Sept 1968

This is just across the street from the Palacio de la Signoria and the Ufizzi Gallery, the palace where Medici family lived for some time. As I remembered, Florence is really as beautiful as ever. On your next trip to Europe you really should plan to come, it is really lovely. We will leave for Rome on Wednesday, how wonderful.

Saludos, Alicia
