It sure was good to visit with you yesterday. Glad I didn’t get you out of the shower this time. We are still having snow and quite cold weather, but we are driving to Amsterdam this evening to a concert with Isaac Stern as guest soloist. We’ll ge
t up early, have a bite of supper, then to the concert and right back home. We have season tickets for these concerts. Must get over to the post box.

Wrong queen in this picture – but you will know the hall. Bill and I walked to Kourhuis this AM – my word – the place is fantastic. The blue mermaid sitting among the lobby visitors!! The beach was jammed with people (and dogs!) because it was our first warm sunny day for ages. Too crowded for me, but the park behind us and the streets were lovely. My feet seem to have revived – I walk to Stevinstraat and back easily now. More later in the week.

This is one of my most favorite places in Holland – also it’s near the good Stol. cafe!!
We took Winkleman and wife out last nite and will take Alicia out tonight for her bday. We are “warm” – around freezing with rain, snow, sleet, fog, and sun often – typical. But at least, it isn’t so bone chilling bloody cold as you have it.
TV isn’t so great – we can’t get England without snow and fading – we watched “the Untouchables” on SKY recently!

I got you one of these hats – hope you’ll like it! We took a tour to this place; also the flower market at Alsmeer – fantastic. Sat. we and Alicia went to Hoorn, Einkhuisen and the long dyke – had a lovely picnic along the Ijsselmeer watching the sailboats. The weather has been spectacular – no rain, around 68 degrees. Jean doesn’t believe the stories about our rainy weather.

It was so nice to visit with you last night. We are grocery shopping and resting today. A friend of mine came in for tea this aft. We watch TV in the eve. (what there is in English). We watched “Little Women” tonight. It was good. I hope you have seen it. We’re having two in for dinner tomorrow eve.

It is a nice sunny morning (at 7 AM!). Hope it stays nice. We will go downtown at noon today – Jean and Tom haven’t walked around there yet. It is so nice to have them here – we have visited a lot – played a lot of “spite and malice”. I will be lonesome when they leave.

I am meeting Bill in town for supper tonite. The stores are open on Thursday evenings and there is an interesting open street market this day also. We’ll just look around . It is a lovely sunny day, tho cool! It is lonesome without Jean and Tom here! This picture is of Queen Beatrix and Crown Prince.
